UK: M25 Zone Multimodal Study 2002
Major government-sponsored multimodal study covering the London and South East, designed to relieve road congestion along this major artery. Differing Passenger and freight considerations, rail capacity issues studied for continental freight,remedial investment to be carefully targetted: need for imaginative passenger orbital links to relieve Central London congestion. Options for new / improved rail orbital services examined to reduce distributor use of the M25. Optimal use Opportunities of current network identified.

CENTRAL ASIA / AFGHANISTAN: Design of National Rail System 2007-12
Team leader for pre-feasibility design of 2000km Afghan rail network. Validation of route proposals, preparation of initial route design, engineering costs and traffic potential, stimulation of landbridge traffic movement, creation of rail access to deep-sea shipping and world market for Central Asian Region. Supervision of initial rail operations.
Promotion of associated rail developments in Uzbekistan / Tajikistan /Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.
